IIRSM confirms speakers for Crowd and Event Safety conferences

IIRSM Crowd and Event Safety conferences

The International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) is working with a group of experienced professionals to deliver two conferences with a difference.
Developing a risk management strategy that works in crowded places brings a set of unique challenges requiring specialist knowledge.

Understanding behaviours can be the key to ensuring that if an emergency happens your risk management strategy can ensure the best outcome for everyone.

At this full-day conference, Dr John Drury of Sussex University will be talking about the group psychology of mass emergencies and how to manage it whilst Professor Keith Still of Manchester Metropolitan University will cover real-time evaluation of crowd dynamics, crowd counting, management and control/movement of people. Event safety specialists Mark Breen and Roger Barrett will share the Chair role and cover safety of temporary structures, scenario planning and communications.  Andy Neal, Head of Security at Cardinus Risk Management will cover terrorism/violence and prediction indicators.

The conference will be of interest to anyone responsible for the safety and security of public or crowded places.
