One of the major events in the health & safety calendar is fast approaching. The British Safety Council is holding its 10th Annual Conference ‘Health and safety in uncertain times’ on Wednesday, 14th November 2018 at Congress Centre, London.
This year’s conference speakers will prepare delegates for the numerous impending challenges ahead, such as Brexit, air pollution and the implications of the new regulatory framework for fire safety management post-Grenfell. They will also discuss best approaches for promoting wellbeing in the workplace and improving employee participation.
The conference will be the first public opportunity to experience the British Safety Council’s virtual and augmented reality technology (VR & AR), which will be incorporated in all classroom and e-Learning training delivered by the organisation in its Hammersmith office.
David Parr, Policy and Technical Director at the British Safety Council, said: “The conference will be an opportunity to take a fresh look at some of the key challenges facing organisations today and examine the implications for employee health, safety and welfare.”
“The modern workplace is changing rapidly. All companies, big and small, are facing the uncertainties of Brexit, new risks from flexible working practices and an ageing workforce. At the same time, there is a growing understanding that investing in employees’ health and wellbeing is crucial for improving staff engagement and productivity. The conference will address these issues and give the delegates an opportunity to question the speakers and panellists on the matters concerning them.”
