EXOVA BM TRADA RECEIVES UKAS ACCREDITATION

Exova BM TRADA has received UKAS accreditation for the delivery of ISO 45001:2018, the world’s first occupational health and safety management system standard. Exova BM TRADA is a part of the Exova Group Limited, which was acquired by Element Materials Technology (Element) in 2017 to create one, world-class global testing services partner.

Exova BM TRADA recommends that organizations consider the migration now, in order to enjoy the benefits of the new standard. All organizations certified to (BS) 18001:2007 must migrate to ISO 45001 by March 2021.

Rob Veitch, EVP Fire and Building Products at Element, commented: “We are pleased to have UKAS accreditation for the delivery of ISO 45001, helping to provide a safe and healthy working environment for our customers and their employees.

“The new standard works closely with Annex SL, which allows a high level structure (HLS) to align the occupational health and safety management system with other ISO management systems already in place. This will streamline processes and deliver efficiencies, saving an organization time and money.”

Additional benefits of ISO 45001 include; better identification of workplace hazards and risk; improvement of an organization’s occupational health and safety performance in preventing injury and ill health; motivation and engagement of staff to support and protect a healthy and safe workplace; applicable to any organization regardless of its size, type and nature and protection of brand reputation.

Exova BM TRADA is an independent, accredited certification body. It provides UKAS-accredited certification to all the major management systems standards, as well as chain of custody and sustainable supply chain certification, product and service certification, and CE marking.
