PASS LAB awarded UKAS Accreditation

PASS LAB awarded UKAS Accreditation

The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has awarded the Calibration Laboratory at PASS Ltd a ‘Schedule of Accreditation' on a defined scope of electrical testers and measurement instruments.

UKAS accreditation is granted to organisations who have demonstrated that they fully meet the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025.

PASS managing director, Barry Atkins, commented: "UKAS accredited laboratories ensure accurate and reliable measurement, and in the case of electrical instruments, PASS is now accredited to ISO/IEC 17025.

"The accreditation is testament to the hard work that has been put into gaining the UKAS accreditation in the laboratory over the last 12 months and is the highest standard that we can attain as a calibration laboratory.

"We will follow and maintain the comprehensive Quality System we now have in place in order to maintain our UKAS Accreditation and demonstrate constant improvement and for the whole company."

The electrical instruments now within PASS's UKAS scope of accreditation include AC and DC ammeters, bridges and similar resistance instruments, capacitance meters, charge amplifiers, frequency meters, insulation testers, loop testers, analogue and digital multimeters, portable appliance testers (PAT), power supply units, RCD testers, DC resistors and low frequency signal generators.
