Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Live’s Manchester event has been rescheduled due to the emergence of the Omicron Covid-19 variant and will now take place on Monday 23 and Tuesday 24 May 2022 at Manchester Central.
The decision to move SHW Live Manchester to the new dates follows in the wake of consultations with the event’s Advisory Council, its founding partners and the venue’s management team. Among those consulted were the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). The HSE IS collaborating with the SHW Live team and will also be delivering Continuing Professional Development (CPD) seminars at the event.
SHW Live’s founder Tim Else said: “The ongoing situation is likely to continue for the weeks ahead, directly impacting our ability to serve the industry in the best possible way. With that in mind, we’ve taken the decision to reschedule SHW Live at Manchester Central. The team members at the venue have worked hard in difficult circumstances to find this new date for us which allows a significant amount of time for the impact of COVID to dissipate, avoids school holidays and maintains a balance with our Farnborough dates. The latter show is still scheduled to run on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 September 2022.”
CPD seminars
SHW Live promises a packed line-up of industry-leading brands who’ll be exhibiting on the show floor along with a wide range of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions for all delegates running across two theatres: the SHW Keynote Theatre and the SHW Knowledge Hub.
The HSE is set to host the morning sessions in the SHW Keynote Theatre on Day One following an address by HSE chair Sarah Newton. These seminars will focus on ‘Tackling Respiratory Disease’, ‘Work-Related Stress and its Impact on Mental Health’ and 'Taking the Risk Out of MSD Risk Management’, as well as a ‘Building Safety Regulator Update’.
The packed agenda complements numerous networking opportunities for professionals and exhibitors in a relaxed, enjoyable and COVID-secure environment. The full list of sessions for both the SHW Keynote Theatre and the SHW Knowledge Hub can be accessedhere.
