The Chartered Society for Worker Health Protection, BOHS is delighted to announce its new President for the 2018–2019 presidential term. Neil Grace took over the role on 18 April at BOHS’ annual conference OH2018.
Karen Bufton, BOHS’ immediate Past President, commented: “I’m delighted with Neil’s appointment, which is highly deserved. Neil has been undertaking voluntary activities for BOHS since 2012 and has held several important posts: from 2012 – 2014 he was an ordinary Council member; from 2014 – 2017 he was honorary treasurer; and from April 2017 to the present time he has been President Elect. His long-standing involvement with BOHS, along with his extensive experience as an occupational hygienist over the last 20 years, will make Neil an excellent President.”
Neil is a Chartered Professional Occupational Hygienist (CFFOH), and completed an MSc in Occupational Hygiene at the University of Manchester in 2010. Having gained experience in the oil and gas, nuclear, and pharmaceutical industries, he currently works for Spirit Energy as senior occupational hygienist within exploration and production.
Talking about this latest phase in his career, Neil said: “I feel honoured and proud to be appointed BOHS’ President for the forthcoming term. I am eager to continue the amazing progress the society has made, in terms of raising awareness and effectively promoting worker health protection not only in the UK, but also globally.”
