Cleaning chemicals manufacturer Greyland is sponsoring a pair of climbers, who are tackling nine peaks in order to raise money for four charities.
Head of Corporate Accounts at Greenham Trading Martin Wardroper and Chris Wright are aiming to conquer nine of the highest peaks in the UK (all of which are located in Scotland) this summer. At more than 4,000 ft each, the combined height of the peaks is higher than Everest, the world’s highest mountain. Even in summer, the mountains can be dangerous, with weather that can change from fine to atrocious in moments.
Their Departure Day is June 5, and they will spend the 75th anniversary of D-Day up in the mountains. The gruelling trek is in aid of mental health care charity Mind, the Marie Curie organisation which provides help during terminal illness, military charity Help for Heroes, and The Message Trust, a Christian charity for young people in schools, prisons and communities.
