UK product designer, manufacturer and global supplier of fire, blast and heat hazard protection, Mech-Tool Engineering Ltd (MTE), has been awarded the prestigious RoSPA gold accolade for the 18th consecutive year.
The Darlington-based company, which provides a full in-house service for fire, blast and heat hazard protection, will receive the award for maintaining its outstanding health and safety measures.
Anthony Jones, MD of MTE said: “We are thrilled to be achieving the high standards of accident prevention and health and safety management required for the gold order of distinction year on year. Health and Safety is at the forefront of what we do and to be recognised for our commitment to these practices is an honour. It is also a great credit to everyone in the organisation for maintaining high levels of protection and prevention across all departments.”
The RoSPA order of distinction is an internationally recognised award that merits large and small companies across various industries for commitment to health and safety standards. Established for almost 100 years, the charity organisation, Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, rewards companies who improve or maintain exceptional health and safety practices.
MTE has been manufacturing protective equipment across sectors such as oil and gas, nuclear, petrochemical and offshore wind farms for more than 45 years. The ability to consistently meet the standards for the order of distinction results from its commitment to developing health and safety standards across the company.
